Wildlife photography is the one thing I do that can't be rushed. Animals don't pose and the light doesn't wait, so most of a good photograph is patience: sitting still, watching, and being ready for the few seconds when everything lines up. A long lens lets me get close without getting in the way, and I've come to love that quiet as much as the pictures themselves. Every animal here was going about its day on its own terms. I was just lucky enough to be there.
